ROME MORE, SCEPTICAL
Rome, To-day. No reliable information is forth-
| (7) coming concerning the conversations between Count Ciano and Lord Perth.
مر
It is taken for granted that the the Spanish problem has formed main topic of discussion, but -re- ports from London that a settle- ment of the Spanish problem is (8) imminent have been received with some scepticism in Italian political circles, although such a settlement would be welcomed not only for its own sake, but because it would permit giving effect to the Anglo-| Italian Agreement.
Political circles are likewise acep- ticial regarding London reports of the probability of the early conclu- sion of a Franco-Italian Agreement. It is pointed out that a certain time must elapse before a mutually satisfactory settlement of all ques- tions outstanding between two countries can be reached.-Trans- Ocean.
