STRIKING LABOUR PARTY MESSAGE TO GERMANY BLAMES REICH LEADERS

striking message to the German people was yes- terday addressed by the British National Coun- cil of Labour, representing the Trades Union Congress, the Labour Party and the Parliamen- tary Labour Party.

The message declares: "The British Labour move- ment has done everything it could to avert the calamity.

"We workers for justice understand your problem in Germany's dark days at the close of the Great War and the years that followed.

WHEN HITLER GIVES ORDER

"When Hitler gives the order for war we shall rush to our guns and decide the struggle between the Fuehrer and Benes," declared Dr. Buerckel, Hitler's representative in Austria, addressing an anti-Czech meeting.

"Our hearts contain no hatred of.. the German people, and whatever may lie ahead we shall try to re member our fellowship with the peoples of all countries. We trust you will do the same."

After stressing that. Labour strove for universal recognition of the principle that disputes between nations should be settled by peace- ful means, the message adds:
