Sudeten German headquarters declare that the famous eight points men- tioned in Herr Henlein's Karlsbad speech, which have hitherto been embodied in the Sudeten demands, can no longer provide a basis for negotiations.

MARTIAL LAW REMOVAL DEMAND
The telegram, delivered to Dr. Hodza, is signed by Herr Frank, on behalf of Herr Henlein, and by Dr. Kundt and says: "The state of martial law must be removed immediately and State police must be withdrawn from all districts where there is à German majority and police duties must be 'handed over to the mayors and municipal councillors in those districts who will be responsible for the maintenance of order. After a two-hour Cabinet meeting the Government sent a reply to the Sudetens, ultimatum. It is learned that the reply was not an acceptance but it did not close the door to further nego- tiations. It is not expected that the text will be published.
