PRAGUE'S NEW MINORITIES COMPROMISE PROPOSALS New Tone Of Optimism After Days Of Gloom Scheme For Small Cantons Believed

That the Prague Government has decided to treat the Nationalities issue on a new basis in order to meet the demands of the Sudeten German Party is proclaimed in large headlines by the papers here.

While earlier editions spoke of increasing tension in the Czech Capital, the tone of the latest re- ports is noticeably optimistic and particularly in the "Times," "Daily Mail" and "Daily Express."
