Election of Officers.

To consider the following proposals:

Proposed by H. A. Bowerman, Lt. Commander, R.N., and seconded by G. J. G. Douglas, Second Lt. R.E. That Rule No. 6 of the H.K.H.A. shall be amended to read: "That the Council shall consist of Officers of the Association, four Service members-two Navy and two Army, and four Civilian mem- bers. The Civilian members to be elected by representatives of Civi- lian Clubs affiliated to the Asso-. ciation. Serving Members to be no- minated by their respective Hoc- key Secretaries.

An amendment proposed by R. Henderson Esq., seconded by Mr. G. T. Palmer, that the proposal standing in the name of Lt. Com- mander Bowerman, seconded by Second Lt. Douglas, be amended and that Rule 6 of the H.K.H.A. shall be amended to read:

"The Management of the Associa- tion shall be vested in a Council consisting of the Officers appoint- ed at the Annual General Meet- ing, four service Members, (two Navy and two Army), and four Civilian Members. The Civilian Members to be elected from the accredited representatives of Clubs affiliated to the Association by Ci- vilian Members present at the meeting. Service Members to be nominated by their respective Hoc- key Secretaries. Accredited representatives of Civi- lian Clubs will only be allowed to those Clubs whose affiliation fee has been paid up, vide Rule 18. The Council formed as above shall have power to effect and carry out the business and duties of the Association and also to fill any vacancy occurring amongst the Officers of the Association. They shall further have power to co-opt to the Council a Member or an of- ficial of a club which is not direct- ly represented on the Council, should this be necessary. ZAny members or official of a Club, si co- opted shall not have the power to vote at the Council Meeting.

At the last Council Meeting of the Association on August 18, 1938, it was proposed by Mr. A. A. Dand, and second- ed by Lt. Comdr. Bowerman that the Annual General Meet ing be held each year on the firat - Thursday of September, This was carried by the Meet- Ing, and it was decided to placo this on the Agenda for the annual general meeting.

Rule No. 19 must therefore be amended by substituting the word "September” for
