The hunchbacked Arab who was arrested on Wednesday night as Mr. Walter Moffatt's as- sailant was shot and fatally wounded while attempting to es- cape yesterday morning from a military camp in Jenin.
Mr. Moffatt, Assistant-District Commissioner, was seriously wound- ed when he was fired upon by a "terrorist" in the office who shot him at pointblank range with a re- volver.
Mr. Moffatt died yesterday of his wounds.-Reuter.
