New York, To-day. Further testimony in the case of the People of New York vs. Mr. James J. Hines continued yester- day as a State witness, testified how "Dutch” Schultz ruled the policy racket.

A bulky negro, Alexander Pompez, ex-operator of a Policy Bank, described how Schultz once threatened him with death, when in a towering rage, he flourished a revolver towards him and declared "he would make an example of him."

Pompez described how.. Schultz, "took care of" arrested policy play- ers after he had taken over the racket and said that "Rosy" Wein- berg, one of Schultz's lieutenents, told him to telephone Schultz's headquarters when any policy play- ers were arrested.
