The new Shell Oil is refined in an en- tirely new plant which is an advance on any other in existence. It combines the two leading qualities sought for in a modern motor oil, clean running and high lubricating properties.

THE NEW PROCESS

The new Shell Oil is the product of an improved solvent-refining process. A unique feature of these oils is the in- troduction of a very stable oily com- pound with which the solvent-refined oil is fortified. The great triumph in the invention of this oiliness compound has been the discovery of a means by which the inherent oiliness of mineral

oil can be concentrated and stabilised.

Instant starting due to its free flowing properties. Freedom from engine drag due both to the "slipperiness" of the oily component and to the free flowing properties of the oil.

Absence of corrosion from combustion: products when the engine is cold owing to the strong protective nature of the oil film.
