Now York, July 1. Joe Louis, the world heavy-weight champion, has decided not to defend nis title against Max Baer in Septem- ber, as previously arranged, according to a statement made by his joint- manager, Julian. Black, in the "Chicago Tribune."
The reason given is that Louis has already done sufficient fighting this year, and is in need of a rest.
