WOMAN KNOCKED OUT OF RICKSHA AND KILLED

A fatal accident occurred out- side the Po Hing Theatre shortly after 8.15 this morning when Bus No. 689, which was travelling along Nathan Road to the Star Ferry fail- ed to pull up in time and crashed into a ricksha in which a Chinese woman, Fung Hung-nui, aged 24, was travelling.

The impact threw the occupant of the vehicle to the ground and the ricksha was badly damaged.

The young woman sustained se- vere injuries to the head and body and died on her way to Kov Hospital.

The puller was also treated at Kowloon Hospital, but was not tained.
