1⁄2 teaspoon lemon" extract. 4 eggs, well beaten. Sift flour with baking powder. Cream butter, add sugar gradual-. ly and cream together until light and fluffy. Stir in flavouring. Add eggs alternately with flour, beat- ing well after each addition. Pour batter into greased pan, 8 x8x2 inches. Bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees F. fifty minutes. Serve in thin slices. Edith M.
