Flemish Veterans Stage Activist Demonstration

No fewer than 18,000 Flemings took part in a de

monstration staged by the Flemish war veterans here on Sunday as a protest against the arrest of a Flemish Activist by the name of Grammens, who was arrested by the authori- ties for destroying street name plates in the French language.

The demonstrants who, moreover, demanded a general amnesty for all Flemish Activists carried huge pos- ters with such slogans as "Gram- mens Must Be Released."
