POST OFFICE

GENERAL HOLIDAYS

On Friday, the 1st July the General Post Office, Kowloon Central Post. Office will be open from 8.00 a.m. to Noon, Sheungwan-Branch Post Office will be open from 8.00a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and the other Branch Post Offices will be entirely closed.

On Saturday, the 2nd July, the General Post Office, Kowloon Central Post Office will be open from 8.00 a.m. to Noon, Sheungwan Branch Post Office will be open from 8.00 a.m, to 10.00 a.m. and the other Branch Post Offices from. 8:00 a.m. to 9.00 am.

There will be one collection from the pillar boxes, one delivery of ordin- ary correspondence each day as on Sundays and one delivery of registered correspondence each day at 11.00 a.m.

The Branch Post Offices at Stanley, Tai Po and Un Long will also have one delivery of ordinary correspondence at 11.00 a.m. on the 1st and 2nd July.

The Money Order Office will be entirely closed during the Holidays.

Air mail letters may be posted in the ordinary posting boxes.· should be clearly marked "By Air Mail" and bear sufficient postage. sufficiently prepaid letters may be taxed with double the deficiency or for- warded by Steamer "Service, at the discretion of the Post Office.

Parcel Post Service to Amoy Island is temporarily suspended. Parcels can be accepted for Kulangan only.

Postage stamps of the new issue H.M. King George VI in the denomina- tions 5 dollars, 10 dollars will be on sale as from 2nd June, 1938.

Letters and Postcarda for Europe and South America are forwarded “via Siberia" if so superscribed.
