JAPAN IGNORES CANTON RAID PROTESTS

- Shanghai, May 31. Despite repeated protests made

by foreign Powers, Japanese air. raids on Canton will be continued, [declared a spokesman at the Japan- ese Army headquarters here to- day.

HOTEL KEEPER SUMMONED

Mrs. Kella, of Mody House, was this morning fined $20 by Mr. H. R. Butters at the Central Magis- tracy on pleading guilty to failing to submit a return of residents to the police.

Sub-Inspector Edwards said that the Kowloon Police were looking for an individual who was registered at the hotel but could not be found No returns had been sent for April. When informed by the Police, the returns sent were not correct.
