Czechs Allege German Aircraft

Following the Czech Government admission of frontier violations by Czech planes, Prague papers assert that German military aeroplanes

One report states that between May 20 and 25 seventeen German military planes flew, over the Czech frontier and that sixteen other units of the German air arm appeared over the same boundary.

Berlin circles point out that it is extremely strange that the Czechs now allude to alleged German trespassing over the frontier start- ing as long as six days ago. It is significant that the Czechs are un- able to describe the military marks of the machines they claim to have [seen, but in some cases described

CZECH ACTION • New measures by the Czech Gov. ernment to prevent further allega- tions of frontier infringements by Czech planes include an absolute prohibition of flying over a zone represented by a band five miles round the inside of the Czechoslova- kian frontier.

Regular commercial flying ser- vices are only permitted to enter Czecho-Slovakia through special "channels" through the band. Trans-Ocean.

INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION SUGGESTED

Mr. Philip Noel-Baker (La- bour) suggested in the House of Commons yesterday the despatch of an impartial international com- mission to the frontier of Ger- many and Czecho-Slovakia to in- vestigate the alleged incidents.

The Under-Secretary for For- eign Affairs, Mr. R. A. Butler, promised to bear the suggestion in mind should it appear likely to be helpful. Reuter.
