ELECTIONS PASS OFF IN CALMER ATMOSPHERE

Prague, To-day.

The municipal elections passed off in complete calm and not a single incident is reported. There was no sign of nervousness among the people. There was unusual activity outside the Prague bar--

racks, however, with reservists who were called up on Saturday still arriving and crowds of womenfolk calling to take tearful farewells.

Outside one barracks was a long column of motor-lorries requisition- ed from tradesmen.

The political committee of the Sudeten Deutsche has issued a communique_rejecting the official Czech account of the incident Eger on Saturday, when a Czech policeman fired and killed two Ger- mans on a motor-cycle, allegedly be- cause they refused to halt when summoned.
