The King's invervention had to be sought in order that Mr. L. Campbell Taylor should be able to finish the large painting of the Coronation which he sent to the Royal Academy. His painting depicts the actual moment of the King's crowning but was unfinished when "sending in" day arrived. (Copy- right).
