Although no confirmation is available, it is reported that, a Japanese destroyer was sunk when nine Chinese planes carried out a lightning raid on several Japanese warships of the South China blockading force this morning.
News of the raid is scanty, eye-witness accounts being con- fined to garbled versions brought to Macao by Chinese fishermen.
