THE CANVAS
An unusually interesting art ex-- hibition, consisting entirely of the Sino-Japanèse war, by a noted. Chinese artist, is to be held at the St. Francis Hotel from Saturday until Tuesday of next week.
The artist is Mr. Fong Yan-ting; of Canton, who has specialised in figure painting and who has ex- hibited at Nanking, Shanghai and In international displays at Brus- sels and Berlin.
There will be 54 war pictures in the exhibition, and the proceeds will be entirely devoted to war relief.
The 8.8. "Behar" left Shanghai yesterday and is due here on the: 6th, instant at about 6 a.m.
