ANOTHER BRITISH OIL NOTE HANDED IN AT MEXICO CITY

Mexico City, To-day.

A second British note to Mexico was presented by

the British Minister yesterday.

The note maintains integrally the opinions pre- viously expressed on the oil fields expropria- tion question, and says the British Government cannot admit the validity of the Mexican Gov- ernment's argument.

A more particular reply to the case put forward by the Mexican due Government will be made in course, but the Minister has been immediate instructed to make an answer on two points in the Mexican note.

Firstly, the contention that as the Mexican Eagle Oil Company is a Mexican legal entity, the British Government is precluded from in- tervening on its behalf, and

Seco.dły, the contention that denial of justice cannot be held to have occurred because the case is still subjudice.
