NEGUS TO SWALLOW PRIDE? May Return To Rule Part Of Abyssinia
BRITAIN BACKING RETURN OF

The assertion that part of Abyssinia is to be re- turned to Haile Selassie to rule under Italian protectorate, is made by the "News Review." The magazine says the question will be discussed during the impending visit of the French Pre- mier and Foreign Minister to London.
BARCELONA- DEATH SENTENCES
Barcelona, To-day.
An additional 41 persons have been sentenced to death by the special tribunal on charges of high treason.
The sentences will be carried out subject to confirmation by the Cabinet.-Reuter.
HITLER PAINTINGS COME TO LIGHT
Budapest, To-day.
Two water-colours painted by Herr Hitler have been found. says a press report.
The paper says that a military engineer, while serving in the Vien- ness garrison in 1912. bought two the water-colours from a firm in Austrian capital to remind him of military service in Vienna.
Now, the paper alleges, the en- gineer claims to have discovered that both pictures are signed “Adolf Hitler." Trans-Ocean.
The suggestion, the publication alleges. came from the French Government some time ago, and will probably be one of the items on the agenda of the impending Franco-Italian negotiations ia Rome, due to start on Friday.
BRITISH SUPPORT Newspaper reports suggest that Britain is backing up the proposal that the Negus be allowed to re- turn and rule over some of his former subjects.
However, Haile Selassie has re- peatedly rejected. Italian overtures, and well-informed quarters are of the opinion that the ex-Emperor will continue his exile in Britain." --Trans-Ocean.
FRANCO-ITALIAN TALKS
Rome, To-day. The Franco-Italian negotiations will begin to-morrow (Friday).
