Mr. F. J. Bright and Mrs Bright, the former Miss Julia Gill, daugh ter of the late Mr. I. S. Gill of the Hong Kong Postal Department and the late Mrs. Gill, are leaving the Colony for England to-day-in the 5.6. Naldera of the P. & 0, Line. The couple will settle at Bristol with Mr. Bright's family, and will not be returning to Hong Kong-

Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Crapnell, ae- companied by their daughter Vera, left for England via Canada and the United States in the s.s.. Em- press of Japan yesterday. Mr. Crap- nell has retired from his position as secretary and manager of the Hong Kong & Kowloon Wharf & Godown Co., ltd, and has left the the Colony with his family for good.

Another well-known resident who left in the s.s. Empress of Japan on retirement is Mr. A. Stevenson, formerly manager of The Dairy Farm, Ice & Cold Stor- age Co., Ltd. He is accompanied by Mrs. Stevenson.
