HERR HITLER TALKS ON COLONIES IN OPENING ELECTION SPEECH

Opening his election campaign at Koenigsberg yesterday, Herr Hitler said he had chosen East Prussia because he was convinced that his ac- tion in Austria would nowhere meet with more understanding than in East Prussia, which, too, had felt isolated for so long.

AMERICAN PLAN TO AID REFUGEES

President Roosevelt stated yes- terday that the American plan to aid political refugees from Ger- many and Austria would be applied also to the oppressed minorities in Russia, Spain, Italy or any other country.
