South China "A" will be full strength this afternoon, and Fung King-cheung should prove a veritable menace in the lead-. er's berth. Fung's absence from the final of the Lai Wah Cup Competition a fortnight ago had its effect on the result of the match, the Army winning that occasion.

Although the Middlesex Regi- ment supplied most of the players for the Army team, they are likely to get away with quite as much as on that occasion, and I am sure that South China will produce their best to-day in order to make amends for their poor form in the League. To-morrow South China "B", hitherto unbeaten in the First Division, of the League, are in jeopardy of losing their record when they will meet a strong Navy! eleven. The Senior Service have practically all their Small Ships in port in addition to two cruisers and the Adventure, and should be capable of fielding a side strong enough to fully extend the Chinese.

On the whole, I feel that sup- porters of soccer will not be disap- pointed with either of the semi- final clashes.

HE main attraction in junior football this week- THE

end is the Semi-Final Round, of the Junior Shield competition, in which two Third Division teams will be featured, while several other junior. League games have been brought.

That "end of the season spirit” is now evident among most of the junior teams although the only two teams are interested in the Second Division League title; the Middlesex and the 5th A. A. Bde. Royal Artillery. Both these teams should record easy wins, to-day in view of the fact that they will be meeting Clubs near the bottom W. of the League table.

Fisher-Cooke, the Ordnance cap- tain, will be seen at left-half in- stead of centre-half, which has been alloted to Attoe, while Rides will be seen at right-half. This in- termediate line compares very fav- ourably with the best in the Sec- ond Division, and though they will be fully extended, should do well against the Navy forwards.

FAST ATTACK

Their forward line is fast, and will be led by Manton, who has shown good form throughout the season, while Duffield and Martin are on the left-wing: Emberson, an-. other useful and dangerous for- ward, and Lang, for the right- wing combination.

Nothing is known of the Navy team, though it is expected that they will field a strong side with the material at their disposal. In view of the fact, however, that the Navy are also engaged to-morrow, in the Senior Shield, they will per- haps, not be able to field as strong a team as in the errlier rounds!

RARE TUSSLE ANTICIPATED

The other semi-final between the Portuguese Sporting Association and Kwong Wah should be a rare tussle with the odds on the latter. Kwong Wah have done fairly well in the Second Division, and on form are a hard team to beat, and, in view of the fact that they have done well against both the Middle- sex and the 5th A. A Bde. RA, in the League, they should enter the final round-
