Tory M.P.'S. Strange Interlude
London, To-day.
The Commons debate on aerial bombing having ended prematurely shortly before the adjournment, Mr. I. C. Hannah (Conservative, Bilston) introduced a private mem- ber's motion drawing attention to conditions in the Far East, and asking the House to thank the Government for its cautious and temperate treatment of problems connected with the Far Eastern
war.
Mr. Hannah, in a brief speech, indicated that he did not ask for a discussion.
"I merely wish to
express the
shame we all feel that while for many centuries China and Japan have got on exceedingly well to- gether, since Europeans have been there they have been almost con- stantly at war."
The House then adjourned. Reuter.
