The Government accepted a motion in the House of Commons yesterday by Mr. Morgan Jones (Labour, Caerphilly) stating the opinion that the growing horror against aerial bombard- ment should be expressed in an international agreement to co-operate for its prohibition and urging the Government to exert its influence to this end.

The Foreign Secretary, winding up the debate on the motion, dis- closed that the competent depart- ments, on the Government's instruc- tion, had initiated exhaustive work on the subject, particularly in re- lation to the bombing of civilian populations.
The examination, Mr. Eden said, was necessary because before: ap-| proaching other governments, you must know how to meet the formid- able objections that may be raised.
