Berlin Insists That Attitude Has UndergoneNoChange

Berlin, To-day. Recognition of Manchukuo by the German Govern- ment is not considered in political circles in Berlin as implying any modification of Ger- many's attitude towards the Sino-Japanese conflict.

It is pointed out that recognition merely takes ac-- count of the de facto situation which cannot be changed and further that Manchukuo which lies outside the boundaries of China proper was in former times regarded as subjected to a large extent to Russian influence.
