Paris, To-day.

It is understood that M. Charles Corbin, French Ambassador in London, has been instructed to suggest to the British Government that a joint or separate demarche should be made to Ger- many on the lines that continuance of the po- licy of confronting Europe with faits accompli is unacceptable, as well as interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and that both Governments are opposed to all acts of force.

It is believed the French Government is pressing for a firm stand to be taken, and want the ac- tual terms of the proposed demarche to be dis- cussed at an early date.-Reuter.

ANOTHER ALLEGED FORGER GANG CAUGHT

Following series of raids by the Police last week on forgery gangs another important cap- ture has been made by the au- thorities in the neighbourhood of Wanchai, it is revealed to-day.

Six persons, including three wo- men, were taken into custody fol- lowing a raid on a house behind the Grand Theatre în Queen's Road East last Monday morning.

Large quantities of material us- ed in making forged bank-notes of Chinese banks, and several thou- sands of finished forged notės were found on the premises.

The raid was kept secret until yesterday when the police complet- ed their investigations.

The six persons appeared- fore the Magistrate this morning at the Central Police Court.
