RELAY RAIDS IN KWANG. TUNG TODAY

The air raid alarm was sound- ed at 8 o'clock this morning. with several groups of Japanese planes operating in

various parts of Kwangtung.

Seven of these were seen at Saichuen, north-west of Canton. The thud of bombs ·was heard some distance west of Shameen, when two planes had just been seen over the and another across the river south of Shameen.

Anti-aircraft guns thunder- ed into action and puffa of smoke were seen all round the Japanese machines. -- It is too early for details.
