In preparation for the visit of the Hungarian table tennis champions, Miklos Szabados and Istvan Kelen, who are expected in the Colony February 24, the Hong Kong Ping Pong Association has decided to com- mence the Men's Singles League. The total entries are 19, and are divided into three groups of 6, 6, and 7 as fol- lows:

First group-Chen Kok-wing, Shu Shiu-lun, Chu Kei-chi, Chan Shui-fan, Chung Chok-yung, W. J. Skinner and D. R. Spreckley.

Second group.-Lee Hon-kun, Chung Wing-kwong, Lious Shek-cheung, Lau Kok-chi, O Lung-fai and L. J. Reme- dios.

Third group-Yeung Chi-cheung,

DUNLOP SOUTHPORT TOURNAMENT

Southport and Ainsdale course is the venue for the final stages of the Dunlop- Southport £1,600 tournament. Half the qualifying competi- tion, on May 2 and 3, will also be played there, the other half taking place on the Hesketh course, where last year's finals were played. The 72-holes final stages take place on May 4, 5 and 6.

The tournament is open to

· professionals and their ·08- sistants, and the first three prizes, each accompanied by a gold wristlet watch, are £315, $160 and £100. -
