The movements of the British export trade to China since the middle of last year, were described by Captain Euan Wallace, parliamentary secre- tary to the Board of Trade, in the House of Commons yesterday.
Capt. Wallace said that exports in the third quarter,
of 1937 were only slightly less than in the cor responding period of 1936, but in the fourth quarter they declined to about one-third their value compared with the previous correspond- ing period.
