London, To-day. Answering several questions in the House of Com- mons yesterday touching on air_bombing of civilian populations in Spain and China, the Foreign Secretary, referring in particular to Spain, reiterated the Government's strong view in regard to the cruel sufferings thus inflicted. Mr. Eden said he expected to know the result of the initiative taken by the Government in this con- nection within the next two days. He assured the House that the Government regarded the question as an urgent one.
