REPORT

Canton, To-day.

It is reported here that a train carrying ammunition from Hong Kong was involved in an exciting incident which carried the men- ace of a serious disaster on Wed- nesday evening.

The report states that the train. left Kowloon at 5.30 p.m. and had reached a point about ten miles inside Chinese territory when was attacked by Japanese planes.

Hankow, To-day. Further to facilitate overland communications with the outside world, the Central Government's plan for construction of a new road linking Chungking with Sin- kiang is being vigorously pushed forward.

Attaching the grearest importance to the emigration problem, the Minister said he regarded it as the most effective way of dealing with the overpopulation of Japan and at the same time tightening the inseparable relations between pan and Manchukuo-Reuter.
