NETHERLANDS WAITS ANXIOUSLY: PRINCESS'S ACCOUCHEMENT OVERDUE

Baarn (The Netherlands), To-day.

Interest in the forthcoming birth of a child to Princess Juliana is especially noticeable in the tiny village of Baarn, to which the Sosstdijk Palace, where Princess Juliana is expecting the happy event, belongs.

Dutch and foreign journalists and press photo- graphers have assembled in the biggest hotel in Baarn, and are getting somewhat nervous as the birth is overdue.

A lieutenant of the Netherlands Army is on duty in a hotel room to wait for the great news which he will transmit to the nation in the quickest way,

Text of the first short announce- ment has already been drafted and to will be readjusted according as whether the child is a boy or a girl.

TICKER MACHINE

As a precaution, two candles are placed beside the ticker machine in the lieutenant's room in case the electric light should fail.

Queen Wilhelmina, with the great settled part of her hoosehold, has down at the Palace, while Prince Bernlard is occasionally seen walk- ing through the park or going for a drive through the village, which-is- decorated with banners and landis. Trans-Ocean.
