The diplomatic correspondents of the "Daily Express" and "Daily Mail" suggest that in the con- versations between Mr. Neville Chamberlain and M. van Zeeland, who has worked out a plan for overcoming the world's economic difficulties, one question to play an important role is whether eco- nomic settlement could be effected independently of political appeasement.
