GERMANY TO AIR TRAFFIC

AIR SERVICE

Berlin, Saturday.

A regular air mail service over the north Atlantic between Germany and the United States can be opened next year, declar- ed, the head of Lufthansa, Baron Buddenbrock, in an inter- view to-day

The Baron, who arrived in the Lufthansa flyingboat Nordmeer after several trial flights over the north Atlantic, added that the only thing still necessary was con- sent of the United States Govern- ment, which he anticipated would certainly be given.

He said that in contrast to Im- perial Airways, who had run their trial fights in the Summer, Luf- thansa had carried out theirs in

LOST BY REARMAMENTS

London, Saturday. Imperial Airways, unable to get delivery of new aeroplanes because of the rearmament rush, has lost traffic on the European airlines.

This has been revealed by Sir J. George Beharrell, the chairman of the Company.
