The French destroyer Milan yesterday left Marseilles Fornella, in Minorca, to ensure the safety of the Air France line from Marseilles to Algiers.
The step followed an attack on the Air France base at Fornella yester- day morning by an unknown plane, n which the repair ship was bomb- ed and set on fire.
There were no casualties.
The attacking plane bore black Maltese Crosses, and registered se- veral hits on the repair ship.-Reu- ter
