The Press soccer eleven, which did so well last season, will make its first appearance next Sunday when they meet the Hong Kong Electric on a ground yet to be announced. The Press eleven will probably be: M. R. Abbas G. W. Giffen and A M. Omar, R. Quark, R. Goldman and S. A. Rumjahn, N. A Mackay, G. C. Burnett, A. 1. Lee, J. Prettyjohn, and F. M. el Arcuili On November 7, a Press Cricket eleven will meet the Royal Navy at King's Park in an all-day affair. SOLID DEFENDERS

The Nemads defence was solid, though they were not given much time to assist their forwards. The intermediate line spoiled well, but were not sound in their clearances. [H. Gubbay, in the pivotal position was outstanding, while L Souza, though given a hard time by also did well R. Reed, at back, was prominent with his positioning and prevented Pyara Singh from breaking through several Alves, in goal, was safe.
