In view of the. urgent need for funds by the International Y.M.C.A. Emergency Relief Council for the relief of the war-wounded in China, the Hong Kong Students Relier As- sociation have held the Frugality and Temperance Movement during the last three days. The idea was that all students should try to save as much as possible from food and other expenses during those three days and contribute the saving to the relief fund..

The response was

remarkable. During the first day of the move- [ment, $774.42 was raised; during the second $1288.81 and yesterday as much as $2,424-34 was collected. The total amount was $4,437.57.
