Shanghai, To-day.

The Garden Bridge and the area of the Bund extending as far as Nanking Road yesterday wit- nessed the greatest traffic jam in the history of Shanghai, as practically every available truck in the Settlement south of Soochow Creek joined in the rush to remove food supplies and cargoes from wharves and godowns in Hongkew, Wayside and Yangtsepoo.
