It was stated at an inquest at Rochford, Essex, that three young men watched a woman drown, and that one of them when implored by said a girl to rescue the woman, that he could not as he was wearing a new suit.

A verdict of accidental drowning was recorded on Mrs. Ethel Gold, 58: wife of Mr. Myer Gold, licensee of the Prince of Wales public house, Greyhound-road, Fulham, S.W.
