EXPECTING REFUSAL DISCUSSIONS

British members of the crew of the British s.s. Severn Leigh, lying in the harbour with a cargo for Japan, have staged a "sit-down" strike on board in protest against the carriage of materials for Jap- anese interests and thus aiding Japan in her war of aggression on China.

This sensational development was exclusively revealed to the “China Mail" last night by members of the crew, who declare that they are prepared to go to gaol.
