KALGAN FALL ADMITTED
OFFICIAL NANKING STORY ON THE DEVELOPMENT
Nanking, Today.
A Chinese military communique states:
"Chinese troops evacuated Kalgan on the night of August 27 and the 29th Army, under the command of General Liu Jumin, are concentrating at Tayangho awaiting orders.
"Meanwhile, evacuation of Kalgan made the position of the Chinese troops defending Nankow and Chuyungkwan untenable, and therefore the Chinese troops there are also withdrawing to cer- tain points to establish junction with other Chinese units. -Reuter.
