FACILITIES OF AIR TRAVEL

mayak

Reference was made recently the fact that Imperial Airways now have Reception Officers who meet incoming and outgoing air passen- gers, solving for them any indivi- dual travel problems that arise. This has directed attention f to another aspects of the Com- pany's operations- an aspect in which special attention is being paid to the needs of American visitors to Europe.

During the summer season ex- pert members of the staff of Im- perial Airways make regular, con- tacts with North Atlantic liners at their first port of call in Europe, the object of this service being primarily to see that all the latest information, as regards air travel in Europe, is available for passen- gers arriving from United States.

Part of my work, explains one of these officials, is to check up on passenger air bookings-which-have already been made in America, and to ensure that all the itineraries arranged fit in with the latest ser- vices of Imperial Airways and other companies I also assist passengers on arrival in England in regard to Customs, Immigration, and other formalities, in addition to giving them any hints they may require as to hotels, shopping ex- peditions, and so forth while they are in London"
