HE race for the First Division Lawn Bowls THE
League championship has virtually narrowed down to two teams, Craigengower Cricket Club and Club de Recreio as s a result of last Saturday's matches in which Kowloon Docks, in losing at home to the Kowloon Bowling Green Club have placed themselves out of the running for the time being against it and had to play into deficit by scoring on the last four
a veritable barrage of woods, many heads.

In the Second Division the Indians scored another good win after what I have written, to against the KB.G.C. and in doing so practically assured themselves that Bright and Lines always had of the championship. Craigengower did not have it all their own way against the Civil Servants last Saturday by any means. On the contrary, they had to fight an uphill bat- tle, as after the first 10 heads had been played they were C.C.C. dozen or so to the bad: But by K.C.C the time another five heads had been reeled off, they were in the HEF.C. lead and, continuing to play steady bowls on all rinks, finish- ed up with a five shot margin.
Omar was again in good trim and it was his rink (Gomes, Atienza and "AM") which captured the points with a six shot win over Macgowan, who never recovered from the 9-1 Cc.c. lead which his opponent secured in the first four ends.
