The United States yesterday regained the Davis Cup Trophy which they last held in 1926 when Frankie Parker, their second string singles player, completely outshone Charles Hare to win the vital third singles encounter in straight sets by 6-2, 6-4, 6-2, while Donald Budge completed the rout of the Great Britain team by beating H W. "Bunny Austin in four sets by 8-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
