Railway traffic between Peiping and Tientsin has again been suspended as a result of the clash between Chinese and Japanese troops, in which Japanese bombing planes participated, at Lanfang,. midway between the two cities.

Troops of General Chang Tze-chung's Division were concerned in the clash, which, allege Japanese military authorities in Tientsin, was precipitated by the Chinese when they attacked a repair party of sappers who were engaged in restoring the Jap anese military telephones in the vicinity, which had been cut.
