London, June 26. DISPUTE about the height of a jump, which it was claimed was a world's record, occurred at the International Horse Show at Olympia last night.

THE EVENT WAS THE CONTEST CONFINED TO BRITISH CIVILIANS, AND IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE WINNER. SWANK, A FINE BAY GELDING RIDDEN BY MR. W. BEARD

QUESTIONABLE TRICKS DEPLORED

London, June 26,

Swank and his rider received a tremendous ovation and crowds of people entered the ring immediately after the National Anthem had been played, to examine the jump. A rumour arose that the winning jump was only 7ft. 4in. The jump was measured from every conceivable position by various people, including foreign officers.

Once again it was announced, that the height was 7ft. 8in. But a few minutes later another measurement was made, and this time the jump was declared to be 7ft. 71⁄2in.

Confusion reigned.
