British Trade LOCAL SHARES Talks With ** America
י
London, To-day.
A further reference was made in the Commons by the President of the Board of Trade Mr. Olver Stan- ley, to the recent informal and ex- ploratory discussions with the Unit- ed States Government.
Replying to a question, he said that the representatives of the Do minions and the Southern Rhodesian Governments who were in London recently, expressed full sympathy with the desire of the United King- dom and United States Governments to expand world trade.
As the next step, further discus- sions are now taking place between the representatives of the two Gov- ernments in the hope that the com- mon desire for a practical step to- wards the promotion of trade may make it possible to find a basis for trade negotiations.—British Wire- less.
