Morfontaine, June 16. Henry Longhurst, the former Cambridge Blue, who already holds the German amateur title, has reached the final of the French Amateur Open Golf Championship. In his two mat- ches to-day he beat V. R. Char- rier (St. Cloud) by 3 and 2, and Yan Le Quellec, French amateur native champion in 1933, - also by 3 and 2
Longhurst's opponent in the 36-holes final to-morrow is Jac- ques Leglise, the French amat- eur native champion, who in the semi-final beat H. G. Bentley winner in 1981 and (Hesketh),

Le Quellec was bunkered at the short 13th and also lost the 14th,, where he pulled his second shot and lost his ball. He recovered a hole at the next with a "birdie" three but Longhurst won the match at the 16th hole. Le Quellec pulling his second shot into the heather and taking fivė.
